Nigel Calvert is Senior Partner at Calvert Solicitors, a practice he founded in 1996 as a constructive alternative to large West End firms in which he had worked as a Partner. He is a specialist in Media and Entertainment Law and has acted for a number of household names. He has built up a diverse and broad-based client following over the years that he has specialised in the film, music and broadcast industries. A number of key figures within large corporations benefit from Nigel’s specialist knowledge alongside their existing corporate representation and he has been instrumental in networking clients to afford mutually beneficial commercial opportunities.
Nigel has been a visiting tutor at City University since 2000 and has lectured in Legal Aspects of Film and TV and Legal Aspects of the Record Business. He studied at the University of Westminster, the College of Law, Chancery Lane and was a Partner, Green David Conway between 1990 – 1993 and at Edmonds Bowen between 1993 – 1996.
